South Park: Chef's Luv Shack for Nintendo 64 Videos >>
Summary Those obscene 4th graders have come out with another game that is fun for a few thrills, but not the best game like this to buy. It seems to be a rip-off of "You Don't Know Jack" and "Mario Party". It has spoofs of the Wheel of Fortune, and Jeopardy. It also has elements of the original "Donkey Kong", and what I know as "Maelstrom" It stays truer to the show than any of the other South Park games out but it still leaves more to be desired.Sound Hilarious with good music, especially the beginning music.Gameplay The gameplay is reletively simple and always described before you start an event where you need it, but many a time you'll still be left wondering, "Why the hell did that just happen?" after you have finished doing something.Would you like to Comment? The premise is stupid, and the graphics are eyesores. Yes, I laughed a few times, but in the grand scheme of things, this game is laughably bad. It's a sad day when games like this one are released on the unsuspecting public.Sound Decent, voices from the show are present.Gameplay It's a gameshow. No REAL gameplay involved. Asnwer questions that get repeated over and over again. I'd rather take a foot to the groin, thank you.Would you like to Comment? Summary Overall, this is an extremely mediocre game. Everything about this game is mediocre. It's fun for a little while, but if you want a game that you can play all night, do NOT rent or buy Chef's Luv Shack.Sound The sound was cool I guess because the characters say funny things but that music isn't that great.Gameplay The questions get old very quickly and this game is definitely not fun if you're playing by yourself. The mini-games are hard to control and you will get frustrated.Would you like to Comment? Join VideoGameReview for a free account, or Login if you are already a member. Summary If you enjoy raunchy games and South Park as a whole, you"ll like this game. Unfortunately, with most gameshow-type games, there isn"t much replayability. But it"s a great game if you enjoy playing with your friends. The competition factor is raised by the introduction of the mini-games. Also, the humor is present, if you like that sort of stuff.Sound The game just wouldn't be the same without the sound bytes. From the huffing and puffing when running in mini-games, to the crude remarks when the characters aren't chosen in the opening screen. There is a lot atmosphere incorporated when the original voices are used. Oh yeah, I almost forgot to remark about the cheesy soundtrack. But hey, no one is perfect.Gameplay The mini-games allow you to catch up. It equalizes the playing field if you aren't as good as your opponents at trivia questions, or in the matter of reused questions, pushing the button faster. I also like it that if you guess incorrectly, the answers aren't revealed. In the mini-games, it is funny to watch the animations, they are funny and amusing. Though it seems that the end comes a bit too soon with no chance at a "final round" to catch up if you are losing. A big plus, is that the controls are responsive, and that there is a cue card for all the controls. Who needs an instruction book?Would you like to Comment? For once , the graphics are staying true to the cartoon , instead of the 3D shapes which bear little resemblance to the seriesSound Fantastic . From the moment you switch on the game , and you hear chef sing 'simutainious luvin', you know you are in for a treat . Hundreds of sound clips and music make you laugh out loud . Superb .Gameplay Although playing multiplayer is fantastic , the multiplayer is slightly lame , especially when they tell you 'YOU ARE IN FIRST PLACE !' when you are the only one playing . There should have been a CPU mode to fill in the other contestants . It's a shame the isn't the option of playing just the mini - games for practice . The questions are difficult , and sometimes it's a matter of guessing . Shame .Would you like to Comment? Join VideoGameReview for a free account, or Login if you are already a member. I can"t believe Acclaim can make and get away with a game like this. Probing Asses and seeing kids, cute ones at that curse makes the game seem like the show. If you love the show, and I do, you MUST BUY THIS GAME!!!!Sound Good but not fantastic. Could of added some better stuff. Overall I love this Kick Ass Game!!!Gameplay Easy and fun!! No tricks, just loads of laughs!Would you like to Comment? Join VideoGameReview for a free account, or Login if you are already a member.
