WCW Nitro for Nintendo 64 Videos >>
Summary Hello, its me again. I have reviewed over 3 wrestling games now and here is my fourth one. When ever i go to a local plazza, i go into Roger's Video to see any cheap games. Mostly there are alot of cheap playstation games,4 SNes games(THAT ARE ALL FOOTBALL) and maybe 5 N64 games in the sale tray. A year ago or so, i went in and saw WCW Nitro for 24 bucks (this was before i bought No Mercy and i only had WWF Attitude and WCW/nWo World tour). I instantly wanted to buy Nitro badly cause it looked sooo good! Of course, i ended up not buying it. Now,2 days ago, i had 10 bucks or so left of birthday money so i wanted to buy a movie or something else. I went over to Roger's Video and looked around and i saw 2 boxes of WCW Nitro. Stupidly enough, one was 9.99 and the other was 14.99! I decided to get Nitro anyway, just to try it out. After that, I have been playing it alot and it still seems fun after 5 hours.Sound Fine but when a match is over and say, you just played Randy Savage. He'll dance around and say OHHH YEAH but you can automaticly tell that Inland recorded it from TV and pasted it inside the game. Commentary is ok but poor. Grunts and stuff are ok.Gameplay Here is the big dissapointment. When Aki first made World Tour, THQ made a new game(Nitro) with a different engine. Basicly, its hard. Very hard. I got mine without its manual so i had to find it on the internet. I have gotten some moves in my head and i remember them. Otherwise, its still hard. Yes, even more difficult than Acclaim's WWF games. If you want challenge and you know Acclaim's WWF games more than AKi's WCW games, GET NITRO! Its worth it! Nitro is fun! People say Nitro aint fun because of its engine. True but thats what the challenge is. There are not alot of moves but plenty. There are more than enough characters(over 60) and ALOT OF RINGS! The bad stuff is no weapons,tables or fighting on the ramp. There are no entrences or theme music BUT there is commentary. That settled it for me. There are only 5 modes of play to choose from but other than that, its all okay. All in all, this game basicly is a updated version of the Wrestlemania Arcade Game. Its also an updated version of the Playstation Nitro. This game is alot like Wrestlemania Arcade.Would you like to Comment? Summary Okay now people think that THQ did the right thing when they used a new engine for this game but in case you forgot this is not a new engine it was in both Nitro for playstation and Thunder for playstaion. This engine blows just get rid of it or something revenge has the best engine why not use it again huh because you are not smrt well I guess so. I mean THQ made the best engine for a wrestling game and then used some awful engine on this game and boydoes it ever show. The game plays way to slow and you cn not slam them I mean seriously this game just totally blows. All fans even wrestling fans avoid at all costs this game has no fun modes at all because of the engine which totally blows.Sound bad sound.Gameplay The gameplay just totally blows.Would you like to Comment? Revenge and World Tour are both built on the same engine and get old fast. I admire THQ for looking into a new engine for this game!Sound The sound is good, but not great. For instance they did not make each wrestler's theme music, it is a limit of about 4-5 entrance songs. Needs more commentary other than just saying the special moves.Gameplay What can i say? In a game with nearly no flaws, this is the only weak point. It does take some getting used to, but once you have got the hang of it, you'll never wanna quit playing!Would you like to Comment?
