South Park Rally for Nintendo 64 Videos >>
Rating Reviewed By Paul KatzFrom Pittsburgh, PA Review Date 12/25/2000 Overall Rating ![]() 3 of 5 Rate this review? Summary NOT WORTH $50.00 but perhaps $15.00- $20.00An eventually fun game with some serious faults: * Multiplayer levels are locked until they are beaten in single player mode. Want to host a party with this game? Beat the single player levels first. * Only one circuit and there is no way to save your progress along the circuit. * None-linear races really kill this game for visitors who just want to play it for an hour. Bottom Line: This can be a fun game if you take the time to memorize the courses and am a huge fan of South Park. The game maybe is worth $20.00 but by no means $50.00 This is no Mario Kart 64 replacement. Sound The lines the characters say can be hilarious or very annoying. Problem is, when they make you laugh, it is very easy to lose focus on the race. If you hate the sound of flatulence, don't buy this game, as it is the sound effect you will hear the most.Gameplay Something to clear up. This is a racetrack game. Those looking for the simplicity of Mario Kart 64 should look elsewhere. You are racing around the town of Southpark. You can't just mindlessly drive as you need to know in advance where you are going. This is unfortunate, expecially for multiplayer games, as one must have a lot of prior track knowledge to do well. There is also so much stuff flying at you: school buses, cows, bulldozers that the game can really become annoying. Worst of all, while you can save unlocked tracks, you can't save your progress while moving up the circuit.Would you like to Comment?
