Summary Simply said, This game is one if the poorest representations of the genre I've ever seen. It seems as though the publishers of this type of garbage thought they would just take an old poorly designed game and make it an easy to navigate poorly designed game.Sound Lets not even go there. It sucked.Gameplay Game play goes from boring to more boring to just plain tedious. There is no excitement to be had. A complete lack of a decent tutorial section makes it absolutely imposible to learn without a pulling your hair out, and there is nothing about the presentation of the game that makes you want to go further into learning about it. It just makes you mourn the demise of Jane's even more. What happened to pride in design and research. Anyone who actually said they liked this crap is either lying, working for the company, or both.Would you like to Comment? Summary Jet junkies looking for a fix until Lock On: Modern Air Combat comes out could do worse than purchasing this rehash of a five year old game. The menu is vastly superior to previous incarnations of what is really an old game, and I give it praise because this title delivers where it counts, which is in-depth gameplay with options for really learning (albiet vicariously) about some of the workings of a sophisticated modern fighter jet. It gets the job done. Sound Poor. Really poor. The engine lacks that throaty roar that shakes yer boots and makes you feel like you are really in one of these beasts. Even with the damping and soundproofing evident in modern jets, I've been next to these babies are air shows, and I know how they sound. A tame lion is still a lion. The sound here does not inspire awe.Gameplay The gameplay is what you put into it. The game itself is deep. Weapons and radar systems are well replicated, and while it does not inspire the same attention to detail of Jane's old offerings, like a modest car painstakingly looked after, this game can prove very rewarding. The missions are varied, and options allow the player to tweak the environments and conditions. The flight model ranges from easy to unforgiving. Again, if your idea of a red hot Friday night is leafing through the pages of a printout of the flight manual, you'll love this. Otherwise, it's good fun.Would you like to Comment?
