NFL 2K3 for GameCube Videos >>
Summary Nfl2k3 by sega for Game Cube. This is a sport series from sega Dreamcast that that had a rich history of making awesome games. Does this game follow the tradition of it's preacessor. The answer is resounding NO and the simularities is in name only. Sound Same sound as before but it is getting dated from DC days.Gameplay The game control is playible. But it has serious lag and control problems. The problem becomes very evident when in the pocket and making open feild tackles becuase you find your player still drifting backwards or forward when pushing to the right or left. Also they have a espn interface which is one of the wrost menu system since QB club94 for the snes. but If your a person like this series no mater what you can get use to it.Would you like to Comment? The game is immersive, because the more you learn about football, the deeper you plunge into NFL2k3 and vice versa.Sound Crowd noise and player taunts are fun. The commentary is adequate, but the phony DJ voice gets on your nerves after a while. Sometimes the commentary is completely wrong.Gameplay When you first play the game, it seems very difficult even on rookie mode. But then you start to figure out the plays and the game becomes somewhat easy. You cannot just pick a play and chuck the ball. You have to read the defense, follow blockers, time your moves, play to your team's strengths, and exploit your opponent's weaknesses. Gameplay is more about your mind than your hands, which is what sets NFL2k3 apart from Fever and Madden.Would you like to Comment? Summary This is a very solid game i would reccomend this game over any other football gameSound the sound is alright but the commentators really mess it up there voices annoy me and sometimes there ehind on the play calling i do ;like that yo can hear the fans calling names at the refs and the players talking thash to each otherGameplay the gameplay is very nice the controls sre very easy . in madden i found the controls to be harder the franhise mode neads a bit of work though the replays are very nice a negative though ius that you can see what your opponent is going to do even though there is a way to disguise why have to go through the troubleWould you like to Comment? Summary i just got done playing super tecmo bowl and that arcane game is still more fun to play to this day than this crappy game i made the mistake of buying, im 26 years old and have seen bad games but this is the most overhyped piece of crap ive ever played, im not a xbox fanboy or ps2 fanboy, i just want to warn people not to waste their money on very bad gameSound announcers are slow, boring, and often lag behind plays, not even the espn license can save this game, do not even waste your time renting or buying this game, for about the same price of this awfull game, do yourself a favor and go but the original nitendo with 2 controllers and get a copy of super tecmo bowl and have some fun for godsakes, i also dislike all the madden games and anything that resembles a so called simulatorTHIS GAME SUCKS Gameplay was playing this game with my friend and neither of us have played sega football games in past, but i was embarrassed to be playing this game when we both found that we could see exactly what the other was going to do, how this could be overlooked is beyond me, game play is excessivly difficult and unrealistic, the adjustable computer AI is also unhelpful as there can never be a realistic balance, this game is just not fun.Would you like to Comment? Graphics are great and the game interface is good but the franchise mode is horrible if you are into realistic football at all. I played one game and then brought the rest of the league up to date with the simulation mode. Have you ever seen an NFL team score 80 points in a single game? I had THREE teams with scores in excess of 80 points including one with a score of 100Sound Sound is fineGameplay The simulation mode of the game is absolutely terrible. Stats and scores are no where near in line with the real NFL. If you are a stats buff give this game a wide berthWould you like to Comment? Summary Well I would say this, if you want a break from the normal football game (I say normal because Madden right now up to this point is the only game out there, Gameday isnt even worht renting this year...again.) then check out NFL 2K3. It has its advandtages and disadvantages. People who are used to the old Dreamcast verison will be slightly dissapointed (like I was) because it doesnt have that same old feel like it did. On the other hand, if you've never heard of NFL 2K3 because all you've known was Madden, this game will seem awsome to you. And thats the key issue, it will seem good. Wich means it isnt, it just means they've disguised it. Last year was fair, this year is sweet. I love the fact ESPN is now with NFL 2K3, it makes it more real. And I cant wait until they bring out NBA 2K3 because NBA Live has never had what it takes so that makes it worth it. Overall go rent this game. If you like it buy it, if not buy Madden. Thats what I did.Sound Sound is so much better than Madden could ever hope to be. The crowds reactions are amazing. They will cheer for a touchdown. Even if its the big fat line men picking a fumble up and running it in. They will respond. Somthing that doesnt happen in Madden. It really is awsome.Gameplay Gameplay has been improved. The fact that it is possible to run a 50 yd run does make it more real. It will take a little getting used to though if the only other versions you have are NFL 2K1 for Dreamcast. It really is fun.Would you like to Comment? Join VideoGameReview for a free account, or Login if you are already a member. Summary 4 Words: BUY THIS GAME NOW! This is the best football game (let's call it an experience)of all time. One note for the reviewer below: Game companies do not account for the choke factor. That's what the Pitts teams do!Sound The best announcing. If I play Madden 2003 for a few minutes at EB or ToysRUs, I have to laugh at the silly obvious comments from Madden. I don'y think you will hear Madden talking about where some guy has to sleep!Gameplay Awesome, passing, running, and blocking. It's all in here. Once n a while you can break a 50 yard run... maybe once every 3 games, that is realism!Would you like to Comment? Join VideoGameReview for a free account, or Login if you are already a member. Summary Ok, I know what you are going to say. "This guy only played this game for one hour". Well how long do you need to play before you see and hear everything you need to?Did any of the programmers of this game even watch a single game of football last year, or bother to check the standings, and season stats? I know this is a video game, but when I spend $50 I want to pick up a game, choose my favorite team(steelers) and dominate. I looked at the ratings that they gave this team, a team that was one win away from the superbowl last year,(attn. programers) and my jaw dropped. Rediculous. Hoping to enjoy myself, instead I found my team dropping passes all over the field, and the weakest of Ds stopping the "Bus". I'm no casual gamer, owning just about every system since the atari 2600, so I know video games. I would just like to play a video game where the team's attributes are depicted correctly. Sound In the hour that I played, I counted at least 4 times the announcers where way off with their comments on what was happening on the field. The crowd noise is ok, but how about some player name chanting, oh right, the programers don't watch football.Gameplay What can be said, it's NFL2k3. Nintendo has certainly missed their chance to go online with a great game. Stupid. Controls are tight, but there are way too many menu screens, this isn't rocket science, it's football for God's sake. It would have been nice to be able to link up to the GB advance to choose your plays, since nintendo wasn't bright enough to copy the dreamcast type controller and VMU, it would have been expensive, but the only option. Too many missed tackles, and confused players just standing around, it was like watching the Panthers play.Would you like to Comment? Summary It's more of a fast paced Madden with more responsive controls.Although Madden and NFL2K3 are both great football games, they are both different in many ways. To sum it up I would have to say this: Video game players will want to pick up NFL2K3 for it's more simplistic style, quicker paced gameplay. NFL fanatics will want to pick up Madden for its ultra realistic, true to life gameplay. Sound Sound in this game is pretty good. There was really nothing that stood out of the ordinary though.Although there was one thing that I really didn't like. The announcers are good. They have good lines and they don't repeat too much. But, I just don't like their voices. Maybe I'm being too picky here but I just dont like the way they sound. They sound more like a video game announcer than the real thing. On a side note, the ESPN themes are fantastic. Gameplay It's football. What else do I have to say?The computer is very difficult. Playing defense is really tough. There are times when the ball carrier is right next to you and all you want to do is turn around to tackle him but the player you are controlling does a 360 turn and completly misses him. That is one thing I dont like about the game. Would you like to Comment? Join VideoGameReview for a free account, or Login if you are already a member. Summary This is a very good change from madden(a game that seems to have repeated itself 3 straight years now) its has a lot better replays and graphics, ill discuss that below.Sound sound is good but the play by play announcer messes up sometimes, when you spike the ball to stop the clock he always says "looks like they got enough for the first down there", ??? crowd sound is great and the players talk trash which is cool.Gameplay The gameplay is very good and challenging you have to pay attention every play or you will get beat, the ai is actually really good unlike madden where after 2 games you never lose again.Would you like to Comment? Summary Simply awsome this game rocks it has all you want forget about Madden this year go for 2k3. ESPN wont steer you wrong and they havent listen to me i know football and i know football games-buy this one youll thank me later.Sound Finally a game that sounds like a football game. The crowd gets riled up against the refs and when you score it actually gives you the chills. As Dick Vitalle would say--- YEAH BABY!!!Gameplay Easy as pie not to easy and not to hard. The Al has improved which makes it even harder to take the Browns or Lions to the SuperBowl but it can be done.Would you like to Comment?
