Summary First off, I must say that I am amazed at this game. When I first saw the game, I figured it would be some sort of average shooter somewhat like Jet Force Gemni (to those who remember). It's not. This game blew me away. Every detail put in, from the specific mechanics in the Mils, to the blatant and often hilarious humor. it's also, on another level, very deep. There are so many options to choose from in every mission. You can go in, guns blazing and get bombarded by tons of bots, or you can sneak around and slip past in the background. It's up to you. And when you get the control teather, man... Well, it's just great. There are only a few problems...Sound There is absolutely nothing wrong with this aspect of the game. From the sweet techno music to the hilarious and plentiful voice overs, it's just hard not to sink into this game completely. There are a few times when the music dissapears, but that is by no means a problem, rather than a choice made by the game's designers, who I congratulate. Sound effects are very good and never seem repetative, although I'm sure the same ones are used quite often. The fact is, it's all blended together so well that it's almost as if it doesn't exist, instead being what the characters ARE saying and what a rocket launcher's explosion DOES sound like. It's very good and seemless. Also, fans of Family Guy should recognize a certain somebody's voice once in a while.Gameplay Simply fantastic. Everything a shooting game should ever want to be. This game adds another dimention to the genre that I wouldn't even expect. I've never laughed so hard at a video game the first time Krunk (the Q of Metal Arms) speaks, or when I'm blasting away seemingly hundreds of Mils or Titans with a wide array of weapons. Which brings me to another point; The guns. At first I was a little hesitent about the guns; I admit that they looked a little generic. But man oh man these things rock. Each gun is useful for something or everything else. Seriously, you get to choose what you want, instead of the game telling that you have to use this or that. And almost every gun in the game is upgradable, making it at least ten times cooler each time you upgrade. The levels are long and plentifull, all looking different from one another (a feat for the game, given the 40 different missions). The levels are wide and expansive, but still manage to be linear. There are also missions where it is obligatory to hop into a vehicle to pass the level. Which brings me to my only gripe in gameplay. The controlls can feel a little (I mean a little) slow sometimes, and Glitch tends to slide to far to be made of metal. That's pretty much it.Would you like to Comment?
