Sound

Forget sound...the announcing done by the great berman and jackson are flat with no enthusiasm, and not in sync with the play. The first touchdown i scored i was waiting for berman to scream touchdown and it was never said. Instead it whoafully says "he caught he ball" like i killed somebodys mom. the crowd does'nt respond to the plays like getting louder on third down and so on. Just a horrid gaming experience.

Gameplay

Well like I said creating players and finding them to use for a season was really difficult. They made the menus so hard to access that saving is even a problem, cause it does'nt have a save screen. You have to access the file manager with the white button, and only a certain time u can do it which is crazy. The players and running just isn't right and the timing is bad.

Sound

The sound is bad also. Who would have guessed. The lay-by-play is very boring and there is a noticeable amount of lag between the time when Berman speaks and the Jackson chimes in. There really aren't any crowd noises or trash talking so the sound is bad, but who really cares at this point. The coolest part about this game is the ESPN NFL Primetime music they play in the menus.

Gameplay

Gamelay...well, lets start with the bad. The gameplay is horrid on the field. I like the playbook and all the formations that can be ran from the different offensive sets. Receivers run nice routes, but they have stone hands and a total lack of ability to searate from the defense. Quarterbacks really have no touch. They can thrw lob and bullet passes, but neither are effective. Everytime you throw the deep ball, the receiver stos his route and goes u for the jumpball. Quarterbacks also lack the ability to hit their receivers in stride. They are always at a stand still when they catch or dro the ball. The running game is really bad too. Forget looking for a hole or following a block or two. Just hold in the seed burst button and run to the outside and hoe that you can outrun the defense. The juke move is pitiful, but the spin move can be effective at times. Holding in the speed burts causes the running backs to protect the ball with two hands, but it looks like they are running like they have to take a big fat $h!t, and they need to find a toilet like right now. When you find daylight, take advantage because its a guarantee that when a defender approaches that you are going down. Playing defense is absolutely boring. The playbook is weak, and I hate the interface to select plays. The computer is horrible on offense. No challenge at all. Almost every series is a three and out. Line lay sucks too. The line holds, literally. When your d-line wins the battle, the only thing he does is knock the lineman on his ass. Oh yeah, this is also very frustrating when trying to run the ball on ofense. The franchise mode and statistical tracking is the best in any football I have ever played. Evry statistic imaginable is tracked in this game and the Franchise is deeer than madden. It includes a preseason and players rogress according to how they perform in the preseason. Every management option imaginable is included, like delegating the amount of playing time each player will see to teh best offseason draft in any football game. All the nooks and crannies are there for the stat and GM freaks, but it just is not enough to make the game worth while. I really hope that the other football develoers take note of ESPN franchise mode and statistical tracking.
