Summary

Crash Tag Team Racing is a fun game with a few attributes that set it apart from the other cookie-cutter racers out there. It plays like both a platformer as well as a racer.

Strength

The game is fun and addictive. You start out wandering around an amusement park in typical platforming style, interacting with other characters and hunting for power gems to unlock other sections of the park. The characters ask you to hunt down various items for them, in exchange the character and their car are unlocked and become playable during races.

Once park areas have been unlocked, you can enter them and roam around, collect more items, and enter various doors scattered around which, finally, give you an opportunity to race.

During races, when near another racer, you can hit a button that will "attach" your cars together. Once attached, you can either steer the car while your attached racer controls a gun, or you can control the gun while your partner steers the car.

Weakness

All the elements brought together sound good, and are fun to an extent, but the game comes across as average. As a platformer it's lacking in action, as a racer it's way too easy.
