Summary The story line is plenty long, if you truly play through the entire game. Sure you will have to visit unknown worlds in your little land rover, but visiting those worlds prepares you for the bosses you'll face and enemies they'll bring with them. The options for character skills and weapons are a good amount. Not to mention the supremacy of the powers that you can have. Your allies are sometimes a little terrible but that just means you have to do it a different way. Good game for it's price.Strength -lots of options-good storyline -open ending for next game -good controls -challenging Weakness -all worlds don't have missions-allies are sometimes pitiful - good/bad character doesn't change plot Would you like to Comment? Summary Mass Effect is a solid game, but I expected more coming from Bioware.Strength -A seamless combination of RPG with FPS-You control what you say. You can be the good guy, the loving commander, the kind general, OR you can be the hardass commander, the heartless general, or the greedy mercenary. -You choose where to go and when (mostly). You can travel all over the universe to uncharted worlds or you can simply follow the plotline. -Speaking of the plotline, It's very good. Interesting, with a few twists and it keeps you coming back to play. -The weapons system is great. Great selection of guns, and armor and such. -The leveling system is great, alot like KOTOR. Weakness -You control what you say.. but the speech selections are very unclear. The option will be A) Go to hellB) Let me help C) I'll let you know You choose A but he ends up saying something closer to B. -Whether your a badass or a goodguy it has no effect on your character, gameplay, or the plotline. Don't get me wrong, your decisions WILL change the game, but HOW you decide will not. -You choose where to go. Unfortunately if you are not following the plotline, and you decide to venture to uncharted worlds, you'll basically be riding around in your land rover doing nothing. There are a few bonus missions, but they don't heed any particularly amazing rewards, just busy work. -Your squadmates aren't too helpful. -Game itself is too short. ================ Overall it was a good game, only 6-8 hours of playtime though. I should've rented it. Would you like to Comment? Join VideoGameReview for a free account, or Login if you are already a member. Summary Mass Effect had the potential to be an awesome addition to the 360 lineup. Sadly, with the multitude of technical issues, it falls flat on it's face. The premise is solid as is the story itself, but with it's intolerable glitches the game is unplayable for anyone who expects a game to be complete prior to shelling out 60.00+ for it. The AI is awful as you'll see as your 2 supposed helpers drop like flies at every boss battle. But in truth Mass Effect has so many issues that it would require as much time to list them as it did to create Mass Effect so I will not bother here. Simply read the reviews of those who might not seem so negative, and multiply their gripes by about 100. It is really that bad. Strength It's a good idea gone terribly wrong for the sake of fast cash. There really is no excuse for this game to be sold in it's present form.Would you like to Comment?
