Dark Cloud for PlayStation 2 Videos >>
Summary Just another plain old video game, nothing new here folks. There's nothing special here, nothing to really make you keep playing the game. I guessing this game is just made for the little'uns, but then its kinda odd how its rated for Teens.Sound It's hard to judge the sound because there isn't much of it (which may be a good thing, since some of the sounds are annoying)Gameplay Boring, typical, kinda stupid, little kid-ish.The game play is much more complex than it needs to be. Example: You have to make sure your character is hydrated so he can run around the cave. So it kinda limits your exploration, since he's always whining about getting thirsty. Very original.Sound Nice music and noise, but no voices and the main character never says anything through out the whole game but the people seem to understand his hand movements. Other than that it's very nice. You can even hear the waterfall getting stronger as you walk towards it.Gameplay I would have given it a 5 if it wasn't for the annoying thirst meter. Nice short battles. You don't even need to fight if you don't want to. In a regular rpg it would take hours to get through one floor because of all the random battles. Its takes about two minutes on this game. The wepon hit points were very clever.Would you like to Comment? Join VideoGameReview for a free account, or Login if you are already a member. Summary This game is very cool. The great aspects that it takes from other games (especially Zelda) make it a very easy game to get into. Toan is the main character in the game but he has some other friends join him along the way. The controls are easy to get used to and I think one of the best features of any game is making it so that your weapons can level up and making it so that you can add your weapon onto another weapon to make it more powerful.Sound I think the sound is very good. The weapons make cool sounds as they strike enemies. The music is more of a mood style where it changes depending on what scenario you're in. The music sounds similar to other rpg's I've played in the past but I don't find it to be boring at all.Gameplay The gameplay is good. At times it can be a little boring going through the same style of rooms all the time but the fact that the maps are randomly generated is a cool feature which means it adds some replay value. Gathering the Atla is easy enough and then when you get back out into the town you get to put together the town how you see fit. Making the towns is a lot of fun and you can take the advice of the townspeople and place their houses where they would like to try and get a special reward. Another great feature is the fishing in which you collect points that you can redeem for awesome rewards. Overall, gameplay is a total blast!Would you like to Comment? Summary Personally I think this game is worth buying. It has an interesting storyline about a boy (Toan)saving all the towns by collecting atla with his atlamallia. He has to destroy the evil genie that was let out of its lamp by an evil General bent on owning the world.Luckily, the Fairy King ( boy what an interesting name heh) has sealed the towns and villagers into atla. He gives you atlamalia ( a little stone thingie that goes on your wrist). His first mission is to talk to the divine beast Dran. Im sorry but I can't tell you anymore about this game. If your really interested buy/rent the game. By the way it doesnt take up much memory to save.Sound The sound isn't bad. The background music can get sorta boring. You hear sound when you hit a monster, defend, or just sigh.I think you should buy this game. Gameplay The game play is great. I can tell you that you wont finish this game in one sitting. The Objective in this game is to let all the people, houses, and they're things. you have to put the people in they're houses, and put they're things in the houses. This can be interesting because you can set the houses however you heart desires. Every time you compete a house you get a item.In this you dont level up your weapon does. you have to put attachments on your wep. and you can upgrade it, or status break it onto another weapon( by the way it takes 60% of that weapons skills and puts it onto a different weapon). you can make the best weapon this way. You will get more characters along your quest. Would you like to Comment? Join VideoGameReview for a free account, or Login if you are already a member. Summary This game is a filler from final fantasy 10 and shadow hearts for me. The game starts off slow and boring, but i kind of got into the meat of the gamewich is upgrading the wepons and geting the differnt charecters. There is no spoken text in game. Overall i was not impressed with the game in the start but it grew on me after about 10 hours into it. If you want a game that can go at least 40 hours and beyond, then for the bargin deal of it being a greatest hits for only 19.99 new .I say go for it, plus used prices are falling. As soon as i finsh it i will be able to jump onto shadow hearts. Sound No real outstanding tracks, mostly mood music.Gameplay Consists mostly of goning through computer randomly generated dungeons. Collecting pieces of city pieces that you build after finding them in the dungeons.Building up the wepons is very free form, and most of the rpg elements of the game.Would you like to Comment?
