Summary Ok so this game isn't out yet but considering it is the "sequel" to the best WWF wrestling game ever (WWF Wrestlemania 2000) I think it will be the new best wrestling game! It has more game modes than wrestlemania, an improved create/edit a wrestler mode, more wrestlers, updated rosters, new weapons, back stage encounters with your rivals, and you and your rival will continue to mess with eachother until a big title shot. Doesn't that sound awesome!Sound I'm sure it will be better than wrestlemania but since I haven't heard it yet there is no way I can give it a rating!This Game WILL be AWESOME I guaran-damn-tee it! There are many options to this game.The game will be released on Oct. 31. WWF No Mercy is the sequal to wrestlemania 2000 which i think is the best wrestling game ever. No Mercy is around 50 percent done. There are many rumors that are getting everyone excited. There will be a ladder match, cage match, and the usual single and tag, but there are many other options that can change the matches. Sound The entrance themes are sounding pretty good. There is no commentary. The only thing i have heard that wont be in the game is kid rocks american badass song for the undertaker. They might try to make a remix but they will probably end up with his old music.Gameplay There will be no road to wrestlemania,(which i thought took to damn long) but a championship mode where you go after each belt individually and over the matches people will mess with you and you will end up fighting them for a belt(if they have one) then once youwin the belt you have to defend your belt. The smackdown mall is where you buy moves, costumes, wrestlers and probably more with the points you earn over the many matches in the game. There is a survival mode where you fight 100 wrestlers in a row. Dont worry about getting a new weapon when your opponet makes you drop it because they dont dissappear. It sits there waiting for you to pick it up and bash someones head in. Make sure you look for your favorite wrestler because with the list of guys im sure he or she will be there. And if he or she is not there you can go to the create a wrestler mode and make that person.OH YEAH CAN YOU SAY TABLES LADDERS CHAIRS AND MORE because you will find all of these in this huge lineup.Would you like to Comment? I read a question and answer thing about this game on Game Informer and it will be the bomb. The site said that in the story mode you get attacked in the back and it shows little story lines and unlike in Smack Down you get to see what the wrestler is saying sweet. I know I said taht WWF Wrestlemania 2000 was the best wrestling game it will have to face its biggest competition yet this November when No Mercy comes out. Under Taker and some other wrestlers have been updated and that is cool. You get to use so many great wrestlers in this game like my favourite wrestler The Under Taker, Kane, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Mick Foley in all of his forms, The Rock Edge and Christian and for the first time in a WWF game you get to use Chris Benoit, Perry Saturn, Latino Heat, Dean Malenko, Kurt Angle and Rakishi. There is a special feature added to this years game and that is a tag team ladder match and when the agme comes out I will use Edge and Christian my favourite tag team and beat those losers The Hardy Boys in a ladder match because I sid so. The create a wrestler feature also looks pretty interesting but the problem is there is still no comentary so the sound will probaly be bad but oh well it will be a great game. The story mode looks amazing this year and as soon as I rent the game I will go right in to that mode and get my favourite wrestler the world title because I said so. WWf No Mercy willl kick ass period.Sound It is really hard to tell how good the sound will be so for now I am not rating it because there is no point do not know how to rate but I will probaly give it a 3 for now because I do not know what to expect and 3 is averge for me.Gameplay The gmeplay will be just like last years beautiful wrestling game and that is amazing. Added to this game is back stage ares and that will be cool and there are also new story lines sweet. The only problem is that from what I have heard the cage matches still really suck. The best match will be the ladder match and I will win a ladder match easily because I am that damn good. I have heard that in the story mode the difficulty keeps on changing because some times you will win easily but other times you will get beaten very easily. I picked Lita there was a swimming suit contest which quickly turned into a brawl. Special Refere is my favourite mode. Summary Aaaahh.........WWF: No Mercy. I can remember the first time I heard about this game just like it was yesterday. Running up the walls, bouncing on the bed, I went crazy! This was in March-April of 2000!! I've had to go through a grueling 6 month waiting period, and now...............it's here.........the greatest wrestling game of ALL time.........on ANY console..........EVER made..........Sound The sound in Worl-Tour, was good, no entrances though, Revenge was better, I would have to say, the first game with entrances (Not counting the other "Wrestling Game" War-Zone, ugh!), WM2K was O.K. sound, a bit too muffled, though, and now the No Mercy sound I have hear, has improved quite noticably!Gameplay The controll's, it's what made the World-Tour engine famous. A+^ to do a powerbomb, B+> to do a suplex, it's all very easy to learn. Replay value, the fun and simpicity will always make us come back for more. Summary WWF No Mercy is the sequel to the hit Wrestlemania 2000. If you thought that game was enough for you, wait until you play WWF No Mercy. Everything has been inproved read on and I'll tell you everything.Sound Sound is one of the problems I had with Wrestlmania 2000. Most of the wrestler themes were not real and they kept on repeting themselves. The crowd also didnt seem into the game, they never cheered alot. In this game it has all changed. The crowd seems more into it and cheers alot more. The fun part is that when you are doing the worm, they chant "W-O-R-M". I find that really amusing. The wrestler themes are SO much BETTER! This time instead of using MIDI's, THQ used MP3 files to save space and make to music sound better. MP3 still doesn't sound as good as WAV files but it does the job. The in game music goes along with the game and makes the aptmosphere seem better.Gameplay The gameplay is pretty much like WWF Wrestlemania 2000, all the buttons are the same except for the guest referee mode. Anyways, they are 100's of moves and about another 100 ways do to them! There are front grapples, back, ground, turnbuckle and a couple more. The new grapple which wasn't in Wrestlemania 2000 was the running grapple. No while you are running you can grapple your opponent and do a move on him! There are many verietys of gameplay. For one there is the simple one-on-one match. Then it goes on to tag team, triple threat, and 4 corners. Then pops up the cage match and the ALL NEW LADDER MATCH where you can preform moves that you do on the turnbuckle. Think about it, Swanton bomb off the ladder and onto the table. Ohhh.... Oh yeah, there is also the interactive backstage ares where there are weapons to use against your opponent. There are 10 backstage areas in all. The wrestler themes are improved beyond thought. And there's even THQ home made music like the two in W2K.Gameplay Gameplay is the tried and true grappling system which is what made the THQ/AKI games 'legendary' in the gaming world. When WM2k came out it was the best. And now WWF No Mercy is the best! It's possibly the best wrestling game that will come out for the 64. I recommend you do a ladder match between the Hardy Boyz and Edge & Christian! Than Cactus Jack v The Rock! This game rules...It's the best there is the best there was and the best there ever will be. (Well maybe not the best there ever will, but u get the point.) Sound WM2K music was very dissappointing. No Mercy however is much better. The best it can be for N64. Of course there is no commentary but I expected to be that way. Though it may not be the most realistic graphic wise, they still provide a realistic feel. No Mercy is definitely the best out there and if THQ/AKI keep the same gameplay and tweak the graphics and sound to perfection...you could have the best game of all time.Sound We all feel that WM2K's sound was very disappointing. The Midi format was less then pleasant to listen to but No Mercy has been updated to MP3. After listening to most entrances and such I feel that it is a huge improvement. Also the crowds are more vocal, and table slams and ladder plancha's echo throughout the arena. A HUGE plus for this game.Gameplay The gameplay is simply the best of any other wrestling game. Summary I'm sure you've read a bunch of the other reviews, so i don't have to put much here, b/c the game pretty much speaks for itself. Basically, the vast amount of tweaks to the game, from reversals to the fluidity (is that a word?) of the moves, to being able to tie up opponents in the ropes, would be worth the price of replacing WM2k right there. But then you add in the total awesomeness (sorry, needed an edge/christian reference) of the revamped Career Mode, the fact that weapons don't disappear, the pedigree's through the announcers table, the expanded CAW (finally! blonde goatees!!!), the added challenge of the Smackdown mall, and of course... of course.. the ladder match. To be totally honest, i thought that aspect of the game would suck. I didn't think they could do it. But it far surpassed what i was even hoping it would be like!!!!! i won't go into all the little nuances, so as not to spoil it for your own first ladder match, but it's not even complicated....after a couple minutes of feeling it out, you'll be doing swanton bombs (for all of u Hardy marks) off the ladder w/ ease.Sound I hate to give Sound a 4, b/c it is tremendously better than WM2k. However, i wouldn't be much of a critic if i gave it a perfect score, so the Sound area get's to be my sacrifice. The change from MIDI in 2000 to MP3 in No Mercy is instantly obvious, and the crowd pops like never be4. And the effects of when you get superplexed straight onto a ladder is quite amazing, as well. All i can say when that happens is "ouch."Gameplay Really all i need to mention here is that the engine AKI has used (and since then tweaked to perfection..until the next game)since WCW/NwO:World Tour is arguably one of the best gaming engines ever created (behind the Unreal engine). And saying that it is one of the best engines ever automatically gives it a 5.0. And to give ya an idea of how the career mode works, lemme give ya an example: Upon starting for the lightweight title w/ Benoit, champion Malenko comes down and says he will defend his title against one of 4 men tonight, but first they must fight in a four way. So i win the four way (against sexay, taka, and guerrero), and get my shot at malenko, but taka interferes in the match, and even though i won, the Fink announces that the match is ruled a no contest and Malenko keeps the belt. So I go searchin through the back for Taka, and bump into Tazz. We exchange words, and i we walk a way from each other, but Tazz is shown turning and watching me as i go. I find Taka in the parking lot, and thus a Parking lot match starts. I defeat Taka, and learn that him and Guerrero are in cahoots w/ Malenko, so i go searching for Malenko. I find him in APA's bar, and have a bar fight match against Guerrero. After defeating Guerrero, the next week Malenko taunts me to come down to ringside, but when i get down there Taka and Eddie come down, and Malenko announces that i must face them in a handicap match. Finally, after defeating the 2 of them ( and i won b/c i had Taka tied up in the ropes!) I finally got my shot at Malenko..in a ladder match!!! I win the title, and earn approx. $3,000 in all for the Smackdown mall. But on the career screen it say's Im only 25% complete w/ that division. Now i gotta defend my title..and my first opponent is...Tazz!!!!Sounds fun, eh? Be warned, though, the career mode is very tough!!!! for someone who never lost a match against hte CPU on hard in WM2k, i originally lost 2 of those matches in my career mode, w/ the setting on normal!! (they give u several "continues" to attempt the win) and the settings in No Mercy goes one step farther than Hard this time, with the added level of "expert". So the difficulty of htis game is majorly revamped, which personally is quite refreshing, it's fun to be challenged again.
