Summary In all fairness my 5 year old LOVES this game...but this 32 yr. old is a little disapointed with the game. There are 5 mini-games in each level that you have to complete to unlock the next level, and also work your way to unlock the 5 or 6 monsters available. You start @ the Simulation Room, then work your way to Mike & Sulley's apt, then the Monsters Inc. Lobby, etc.. each with 5 mini-games. The game looks and sounds great with fun interactive menus and lots of optional cut scenes. But the cheap kills and astounding repetitiveness of the levels is maddening. So far, half way thru the game, after unlocking 4 levels, and 3 monsters, ITS THE SAME 5 MINI-GAMES over, and over and over and over and... well you get the idea. Fun Rental, but if THQ wants my $50 bucks- think about a 3d platformer VS. a boring, low replay value game. But my 5 year old Loves it, so that is good. Now, if this game all of a sudden gets incredibly fun and there are a ton of game play options after you get over 1/2 way through the game, I apologize, but If its the same 5 mini-games with the options of new characters or new backgrounds... Borrrrr- iiiiinnnggg... snooze city. Sound Sound is ok, the music and voices are straight from the movie, with most of the Actors ( except for Billy Crystal? ) reprising their roles for the game.Sound FX - ok, nothing special Gameplay Game play is fluid, but the cheap kills are not fair. There is no way to change the difficulty level of the game, so if the computer wants to off you, your history.you basically compete with a buddy or 3 other A.I. monsters and you stay in a square playing area and compete in 5 mini-games. The only thing that changes are the locations. You start in the Sim. Room and if you succeed in all 5 games, you get to unlock a new level! Sweet! But wait, you get to do the same 5 mini-games with a new background... Sour! seriously dissapointing... But hey, My 5 year old loves it! Would you like to Comment?
