Summary If you can get past the sub-par graphics, and the fact that your main objective is to fix up your home, than Nintendo's "communication" game, Animal Crossing is for you! It is a non-linear simulation paradise, with witty dialouge and charm.Sound at first listen, sound seems pretty sub-par as well. Some might think that the main theme song gets repetitive, but the song makes you feel like your stuck in a Charlie Brown cartoon, and you can record and replay variations and additions, and basicly create your own themes song.Gameplay 'The game uses the GC's internal clock to synchronize the time of day and year with the real world. This means that if you don't play the game for a month or so, that same amount of time will have passed in the game's world when you come back.' This is the truly addictive element of the game. Like Ico, in certain respects, Animal Crossing is built around patience. You run errands for friends, write letters, catch fish, pay off your morgage, build relationships with the other town people, and fix up and decorate your home. No combat, just insect catching and the occassional bee sting.Would you like to Comment? Join VideoGameReview for a free account, or Login if you are already a member. Summary this game sucks, with chunky graphics,no point and fruity music, don't even waste rental money on this shiny frisbee.Sound fruity pokemon type music and the way they sound when they talk,(example:fghfghihgndsdkophbkcnvhs6)just makes the game that much worse. Gameplay the gameplay is unique, but that's about where it ends.the whole point of this game is to make a living, paying bills, buying stuff, ect.which would be pretty fun if you didn't have enough of it in real life.the game starts off with you riding in a train to a city you do not know. you arrive in a forest and meet a bunch of people.then you get a job, pay bills and mortgage, and do that forever.I guess the whole point is to hook up with friends and go to their town.is that worth your hard earned money? The best thing to do with this crapload is play frisbee, but you could get one of those for 95 cents.Would you like to Comment?
