Summary This game is probably the best platformer I have ever bought and its great to see sonic and Co in full 3-D. It great for young and old players alike because at first the task's you have to do in adventure are easy but then as you complete them and you go back into the levels to find items the challenge has changed and becomes more difficult. In this game there is plenty to do besides run round the levels collection rings. For example you can go fishing with one of the characters, Use the robot to blow up everything, The sub games are the koolest because you can go on the sky chase zone and fly the plane whilst shooting at everything. There is also the mission mode where when you have completed the game with all charaters you can go and do little missions like finding items or collectin power ups etc.Sound The sound is a bit dissapointing but when your in the game racing round you tend not to think about the music. The sound effets when jumping, spinning etc ae very kool and tend to cover up nioce of the music.Gameplay The gameplay is easy to get used to and after about and hour your an expert. Well I found it easy so I think everyone else will too.Would you like to Comment? Join VideoGameReview for a free account, or Login if you are already a member. Summary This Game is really fun but it still has a couple complications that they didnt fix up.one is the camra angles and another is the way that if u go the wrong way the wall gets in your way and u end up dieing! Sound The sound is a problem since the music can be very annoying at times and it can make wired glitch like noses!Gameplay the gameplay is really fats and all but when u run in a tunnel u will slow down if u try to run on the ceiling like u can do in other sonic games!Would you like to Comment? The sega dreamcast one is more fun. I have both Sonic adventure, and Sonic adventure DX, and, Sonic adventure 2, and Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. The origanials are better. Sonic DX was dissipointing, though. I wish they added more. And the chao are just the same as Sonic adventure 2. But the chao don't have sound! Except when they eat. In the requalar Sonic Adventure they chao wouldn't stop with noise. Sonic DX is kind of the samething. The gamegear games are like, $2. I'd rather buy them. No new levels in Sonic DX. And you can't do glitches! It was fun making Knuckles, and Amy go into Emerald coast. And knuckles in Twinkle park. Tails is easy to get in emerald coast in Sonic DX. But you can't do any more glicthes... WAHHHH!!!!!Sound Great! But... But... NO GLICTHES!!!! WAHHHHHHHH!!!Gameplay EASY CHEESY! Just like the old one. But fun!!! But... NO GLICTHES!!!! WAHHHHHHHH!!! WHY!?!?!?!?!Would you like to Comment? Join VideoGameReview for a free account, or Login if you are already a member. Summary i found that the game was not near as chalenging as SA2 Battle but i did like the story better. In DX you can go to adventure feilds and do whatever, which i found was nicer than going strait from stage to stage. You can also play as 6 different characters (sonic tails knuckles amy a robot and a very stupid purple cat)Sound the sound in this game is hardly worth hearing. just like in battle, the words dont match the mouth movements at all. Now during the stages the sound is not that bad( the boing of the sprig, the splash of the water, etc.)but not good during the cut scenes. The cut scenes are the biggest down of the game.Gameplay with sonic you still dash through straight forward levels as fast as you can and freeing the animals at the end of the stage. with tails you run through the stages tring to finish it before sonic or eggman depending on the story. with knuckles you are saerching for emerald shards again, plus you get to kick sonic's butt which is great. with Gamma (the robot) you go through the stage shooting everything in sight including the boss at the end of the stage. With Big (the stupid cat) you go fishing for your friend Froggy (that sucks). and with Amy you battle your way to the end of the stage while avoiding this indestructable robot then yougrab the balloon and float to safety. Not bad for just one game.Would you like to Comment? Join VideoGameReview for a free account, or Login if you are already a member. Summary Based on Sega Dreamcast's Sonic Adventure, this game has enhanced graphics and gameplay but is basicly the same as the first one. Personally, I think the best 3-D sonic game is Sonic Adventure 2: Battle for the Game Cube. Its a good game...but it lacks kick if you know what I mean. The story is pretty good...but its a tad too easy.A worthy game, but in my opinion...dont waste yur money. Buy the second one. Sound Another weak point in this game...the sound. They use most of the original sound effects from the platform game. When sonic jumps, he makes the "boing!" sound. Voice acting is pretty good, but I dont like the fact that they play really loud, cheesy rock music in the backround of the cutscenes so you cant here what everyones saying...but thats what subtitles are for! The rest of the music is average, but not great.Gameplay HOLY GOD. INCREDIBLE. Its so amazing to watch Sonic do all this incredible stuff. One of my favorite levels is Wind Valley. And I like the fact that you can choose between 5 characters. Sonic (of course), Tails, Knuckles (my man), Big the cat, and E-209 the robot). It can get annoying sometimes cuz you wont know what to do. I couldnt find the friggin ICE STONE!!!Would you like to Comment? The only word that can possibly sum up this game. I've heard some people badmouthing this game and saying that this game is just a cheap copy of its Dreamcast counterpart. However, that just means they are stupid. This game is incredible, from Emerald Coast to the Egg Carrier, this game is pure fun. See for yourself!Sound In my opinion, the sounds of this game are its best feature. They range from rap to rock, and are very cool. Trust me, when I first plaed this game on the Dreamcast, I was singing all the songs with all the words within one week. It's just great music for a great game!Gameplay I first need to say that the gameplay of this game is astounding. Every character is very different, and you can earn them all in different ways depending on the path that you choose. Sonic and Tails basically have to get to the end of the level and free the animals. Knuckles in the meantime is trying to find the shards of his precious master emerald. Amy Rose is being chased by a robot of Eggmans named ZERO who wants her little bird's chaos emerald. E-Gamma is trying to eliminate all the other E-100 bots. And in between all of this, Big The Cat is trying to fish for his little friend Froggy, who has actually swalowed a chaos emerald. Sonic is a very basic character whose special attacks include the homing attack along with the spin dash. Tails has similar movement to Sonic, however his moves are a bit different. For one, he can fly for short periods of time by using his tails as helicopter blades. He can also use his tails to smack his enemies. Knuckles levels are mainly hunting missions. You have to utilize the radar at the bottom of the screen to find three peices of the shattered master emrald. Knuckles has four things going for him. His first ability is to throw punches which none of the other characters can do. Another cool ability of his is climbing walls. Just glide into a surface and climb up! The forementioned gliding allows Knuckles not only to latch on to walls, but also to glide across short distances. Finally, possibly Knuckles most important feature is digging. simply click "DIG" and he can dig up anything from rings to a piece of the master emrald. Amy's missions are simple, however her moves are not. She has a hammer with which she can hit her enemies. She can also uce it to launch herself into the air. She can even hold it out and keep spinnig to destroy multiple enemies. However, she does get pretty dizzy( : E-Gamma or GAMMA's missions are simply timed mission in which you must shoot everything in order to win. GAMMA's big move is basically using his gun and his hover. He can lock onto as many enemies as he can, and then blow them all away at once. The hover is very similar to Knuckle's glide attack, and allows GAMMA to traverse large gaps. Finally there's Big. In Big's levels you have to fish for Froggy, Big's pet frog. It's tedious at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's actually very fun!Would you like to Comment? Join VideoGameReview for a free account, or Login if you are already a member.
