Summary I think the game was overall good.Shooting people with guns and running them over with cars is prety fun.And having the cops chase you is fun. Its a prety good game.Sound The sound could of been better. Like when you get into cars the radio is just a bunch of buzzing noises. And when you get out the only thing you can here is gun shots. Overall the sound could of been better but it's not bad.Gameplay The gameplay is well done.I play it alot and it is not boring.I think the convertion from playstation gta2 to gameboy gta2 is not that different. Summary Grandtheft auto 2 makes an accurate jump from higher consoles to the lowly gameboy color and scores.Sound The sound...crappy 8 bit music from hell. There isnt even any screams of fear or sirens or cursing pedestrians. The music is a joke, I turned off the sound and listened to a cd. Could have been much better.Gameplay Gameplay is pretty much the exact same thing as the others with a few small exceptions(ill get to that later). Same great thrill of stealing a cops car just to run him over with it and working for those who have no respect for athoritah.Would you like to Comment? Summary The GTA fan would like it, but if you've never played any GTA games on PSX, PC, etc. (The good graphic systems) you're gonna be more confused than a purple tamale. It was fun at first, then I just played it when I was bored.Sound Worst ever. When you get in the car "music" comes on. It's not really music, just a buzzing noise. You can't hear foot steps or police sirens either. Sound SUX!Gameplay HORRIBLE!!!!! If you've ever played any overhead driving games for gameboy, you know it stinks. Summary I think GTA2 was a great game(but could be better)! When you are bored there is nothing better than running over people, blowing up cars, and running from the law.Sound The sound is muted when you are not in a car or getting shot at. But the car tunes are good. I wish they could've made the music more similar to the PSX version(footsteps on metal, were probably police sirens, people screaming, the sound of people when you are running over them).Gameplay At first it was hard, but I got used to quickly.Some cars have horrible driving(limos, bugs, b-type, vans), some cars were great(z-type, miara, shark), and there were a couple that were almost too good(turn response, top speed). Summary Overall I think its a great game... read more...Sound The sound sucks on this one,no tire screeching, no honking, no police sirens, just gun shots.Gameplay Gameplay is OK, the objective is to do each mission successfully, one of the dumb things with this is that if you make one mistake while doing this they fire you, and you have to do it all over again. One of the funnest parts while doing missions is that the police, arent involved too much, like when you take Shady out for a "drive" you have the car crushed, then you run away, and shady gets smushed with the magnetic train, the guy thinks hes your friend, and the police dont do crap about it.Would you like to Comment? GTA2 was not made for GameBoy or at least Rockstar cant make GameBoy games worth a crap. I own GTA2 for the PC,Playststaion,and for the Dreamcast and take it from me this is NOT GTA2. It's like trying to make duke nukem on the old NES. Eeewwww!Sound HAHAHA!!! Sound?I didnt know this game had sound (joke) When you get into a car you can hear music, if thats what you would call it, but out of the car the only thing that is heard is gun shots. Your lucky if you can get into a car and if you do you normaly end up sticking to another car which means your better off walking. And here is the real kicker, if your in an area with lets say more then 4 sprites on the screen (2 cars, yourself and another person) the game slows down to a craw. Come on! And whats with this hold A botton to go foward when you hit down you go back. A good game IMO but without its charm of the PC version. All the gangs are their so are the missions, But the game leaves you with a "Im board" feeling. please read on.Sound Gameboy has always had the worst sound possable. The tunes only play when you get in a car which is nice, but when your out of the car its like you lost your hearing complitly. No foot steps, no car honks, no yelling at you, no nothing. All you hear is gun shots....not even police sirens.This makes the game suck to its max. Sound should of been the factor that made the game good. I guess it cost too much to make sound now-a-days because GTA2 for gameboy sure acts like it. Gameplay The game play is great when your talking about a mission, But if your talking about controls then it sucks. The way they have the enter/exit car system set up makes it hard to fastly steal. The other major thing I hate is how you dont bounce off cars you hit, you cant ram your way thru like in the PC version so all your left with is backing up which is a super hassel. The other thing that really makes me mad is the cops dont pull you out of the car, they beat up the car to kill you.
