LOL this is the old model plastic

the new nyko works great!! replaces the faulty one. before throwing this idea in the garbage.
Nyko is now offering free xbox replacement and fix if this ever happened again. So i tested this theory i made a houndi air cooling platform and put the nyko cooler (new model) and i played guitar hero for 10 hours and the xbox was cold to the touch.. but i have mods that don;t void microsoft warranties. see my modded xbox at

Summary

****WARNING**** Do NOT buy this product. I happened to read some forum questions recently on GameSpot's website about the Nyko intercooler for the 360 and every one of the comments dealt with consumers having the same problem with the cooler. NOISE
So I read further and there have been many complaints that the power connectors have been burnt on many of the 360's from using this cooler.
Then I removed my cooler and spun the fans by hand and low and behold, one of the fans was dragging! This was a 2 month old unit! The fans were fine when installed new.
For connector pins to burn, there must be poor pin connection and combined with excessive drag from a defective component (fan) which draws more than normal power, causes both noise and heat.
To me this is an unacceptable fire hazard and because there is little to no oversight as there is no UL listing on this unit, I highly suggest you avoid this item at all cost.
Lastly, The entire time I used this cooler my 360's power supply light burned yellow. Since I removed this junk cooler it has continually been green!
I fear that we may be reading about these units causing fires, but if not it is still an unwarranted risk.
I would not even give this unit to somebody.....It's in the trash
