Letter from the Site Manager

We're continuing to work on our new site design, making sure we haven't lost any of the old functionality. If there's anything you think we overlooked, be sure to contact us. I'm confident you'll enjoy the new layout, as it should be much easier to find what you're looking for.

Happy Gaming,

New on the site

Just Added: Release Dates page for each platform. Choose your platform and click the Release Dates link:
Platform Page

Just Added: Sorting has been fixed, allowing people to search for a game by the first letter of the game title. This is a platform-specific function, so you'll have to first choose your gaming platform, then you can choose the game title. Take a run through the Reviews section and see what we've done:
Reviews Section

Just Added: Latest Reviews by Platform. For those PC gamers who have been forced into using VGR, we've developed separate Latest Reviews pages so you can see all latest reviews for PC games. Console gamers will also benefit, as they are now able to view the latest PS2 game reviews, Xbox game reviews, etc. - all on their own page. Take a look:
Latest Reviews - choose a platform in the left column.

What's New? Our new Discussion Forums. We've switched to a new software in order to upgrade our forums and to eliminate much of the problems presented by our old forums software. You'll find a ton of new features, as well as more structure, and functionality. The design is different, and may take some getting used to if you're used to our old system. However, give it a chance and you'll be impressed.

What's New? Our new site design. I'm sure you've noticed things look different. We've explained it more below....

August '03 Update: We recently relaunched the site with major changes to the overall design.  Our primary goal with this redesign is to make the site easier to use and to take advantage of the new backend technology used by all of our other ConsumerREVIEW sites. This will help us cut some operating costs, simplify maintenance, and will make future improvements easier to develop and roll out on VideogameREVIEW.

In addition, VideogameReview.com and PCgameReview.com are now located in one place. We feel that it was a natural fit, as all other large gaming sites have both console gaming and PC gaming combined as well. We've kept the separate community aspects for each of the 5 major gaming platforms, so you should be able to choose your gaming platform and focus on the relevant information for your specific gaming needs.

As with all site transitions, we experienced some problems, and have been working to get the issues resolved. We've been communicating with the members about these problems and have been addressing them in our Site Feedback Forum. You can see the list of issues and their status here:
